Abstract

The article summarizes the results of the five years of the Obama “return to Asia” policy. It reveals the causes that led Washington to rebalancing its foreign policy focus to the Asia-Pacific region, identifies the characteristic features of the new U.S. strategy in the Asia-Pacific region aiming to spread its economic, political and military influence in this area.
