Abstract
This article is about the issues of establishment of initial ownership of intellectual property rights under the fourth part of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The influence of various kinds of R&D contracts on entitlement to intellectual property rights, the interrelation of legal grounds of creation of intellectual property and grounds of the origin of exclusive rights to it are investigated by the author. The measures for legislation improvement are given
