Abstract
The article presents a classification of principles of the Russian law with the positions of the positivist approach. The author substantiates the thesis that the principles of law are only those guiding principles, basic ideas, which are expressly laid down by law. On the basis of the analysis of codes of branch of the right three groups of the principles of the modern Russian right are allocated: the constitutional principles that are not duplicated in the codes of branch of the right; the constitutional principles which haven't been duplicated in codes of branch of the right; the branch principles which have found reflection in codes. The legal construction of fixing of the principles of law is proposed.
