Abstract
the article is devoted to major reforms of the Russian state, that played a major role in the judicial system and legal proceedings. The author analyzes the nature, direction and results of these reforms. Concluded that reforms provided the transition to elective basis in the jurisdiction, have become an effective tool in struggle against robberies, booties, arsons and other crimes. They further the process of centralization of state in Russia.
