- Abstract
- traditionally, property as an object of a theft is associated with tangible materials only. However, in the modern informational society the concept of property is no longer limited to the traditional defi nition of material assets, and it covers such areas as fi nancial capital, stocks and shares, different types of securities, the Internet property and the like. Consequently the social property relations as a subject of criminal legal protection should be considered more thoroughly. If the above mentioned intangible items could be regarded as an object of a theft intellectual property (the result of the intellectual activity) should be included in the list as well.
