Abstract
Legislation codification efficiency mostly depends on the purposes set. The paper investigates the purposes legislation codification must be aimed at: technically-juridical, social and cognitive. The following tasks are framed within the mentioned-above purposes: regulating, integrating and legislation settling; contribution into Russian society unity and social sphere prestige raise; population law knowledge in social security branch increase, scientific researches in the given law field promotion. The importance of law regulating consistency and constancy achieving in the sphere of public relations, scientific investigations and their quality improving fostering, public opinion considering while adopting the laws in the sphere of social security law.
