Abstract
On the basis of the methodological theses of the system approach in this article is made an attempt to construct the system model of the Russian state considering as a social system with inherent contradictions that are the sources of its development. Such a dialectic orientation of the system model is a peculiar stem around which the process of system research is moving and proposals of improvement of legal regulation are formulated.
