- Abstract
- On the basis of avaliaible documents from the Soviet and Yugoslav archives, many of which are used in a scholarly work for the first time, and considering the most recent publications of the Russian and Serbian historiography, the article explores the role of most imfluential members of the Yugoslav leadership in activation of contacts between Moscow and Belgrade in the first half of the 1960s. The article questions the views, taken for granted in the Russian historiography, that Aleksandar Rankovid was playing the decisive role in revitalisation of the Soviet-Yugoslav relations.
