In the first note the author argues that it is probable from the phonetic point of view that Hera’s epithet ΑΙΟΛΗΑ in Alc. 129 Voigt could be the feminine of ΑΙΟΛΕΥΣ, not ΑΙΟΛΟΣ (cf. Lesb. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ/ΒΑΣΙΛΗΑ). In the second note he tries to prove, pace B. Gentili, that the fragment Alc. 6 V. shows no clear evidence that the images of storm and ship were used allegorically.
