- Abstract
- The author of this article, basing on the fundamental for all the doctrine - but not articulated properly - idea of repetition, or perpetual recurrence, suggests an alternative interpretation of stoics' ethical conception in its specific "tragedy" and "theatricality". The system of stoic's spirit with its ideal of imperturbable identity appears as a certain "theatre of repetition", displaying, as it would seem, not peculiar to stoics internal anxiety and will to difference.
