Abstract

Phenomenon of amateur public museumification of the recent Soviet past is considered, that is spontaneous, self-motivated emergence of topical Internet resources and amateur public museums that present Soviet everyday life of the late “thaw” and “stagnation” period. Some theoretical conceptions and explanatory models that concern the forms of social memory, the truth about the Past and nostalgia are employed.
