- Abstract
- The aim of the paper is to evaluate theoretical approaches to the protection of future generations’ interests and to analyze a contemporary practice of those interests protection. As for ethical theory, the whole range of moral obligations to future people can be justified on the basis of a proper combination of the utilitarianism and the intuitionist theory of human rights. As for practice, the protection of future generations can be provided through the creation of specialized political institutions.
