Abstract

Evolution of anthropological views of classical American pragmatism from Peirce to Dewey is considered. Changes in the anthropological stance of pragmatism are traced from the views of human being as a pure bearer of Reason to the conception of a Human as a historical phenomenon. The connection between the anthropology and the ethics in the works of Peirce, James and Dewey is analyzed.
