- Abstract
- The reasons for the rise and decline of the emotional energy of elites and the masses of the population in connection with historical rhythms and social conditions are revealed. Ibn Khaldun's concept of the causes of the state of society – asabia, the theory of interactive rituals by E. Durkheim and R. Collins are considered, and the model of long-term dynamics is presented as a framework for studying the historical rhythms of stability, decline and rise. Cases of combinations of low and high emotional energy in the state (elites, bureaucracy, army) and society are typified. The social conditions of the UPS and downs of emotional energy are revealed.
