- Abstract
- The article considers the specifics of the concept of artistic taste in the modern socio-cultural situation. Based on a longitudinal study of musical taste (from the mid-1980s to the present), the author identifies five main vectors of its development: orientation to the Western paradigm; unlimited temporary consumption of music by young people; omnivorous musical interests; impact on the perception of music by a person's belonging to a certain social group; the presence of a deep gap between the development of the concept of taste in scientific literature and its state in the practice of aesthetic education of young people.
