- Abstract
- Russian identity is interpreted as a concept that combines civil and state components. The article considers historical and modern factors of using the concepts of "national identity" and "civil identity" in science and socio-political practice. The article analyzes the cognitive-emotional and symbolic foundations of Russian identity and shows the need to balance the civil, state, and ethnic aspects of identity in Russia.
