Abstract
Trends in the evolution of modern theoretical sociology are revealed based on the analysis of the materials of the XVIII world sociological CongressTwo thousand fourteen The article describes the state of sociology in the countries where it is developing most dynamically. The forecast of the evolution of theoretical sociology is clarified. Some problems of Russian sociology, cooperation with related disciplines, and sociologists from other countries are considered.
