- Abstract
- The article examines the coverage of the image of workers on Russian TV and in the print press. The comparative analysis identifies two types of media discourse. Central TV channels broadcast a hegemonic discourse in which the meaning “worker” is attached to “stability” and “order”. The print pressbroadcasts a more genre-diverse liberal-opposition discourse, in which the meaning “worker” is combined with “protest” and “trade Union struggle".
