Abstract
The article is devoted to the specifics of modern wars (SV). The relevance of this issue for academic science, the main characteristics of the SV, the taxonomic, activist and “constructive” structure of its participants and its dynamics, and finally, what kind of sociology is needed to study the specifics of the SV – these are the main topics of the article. The author concludes that the analysis of the SV as the most important feature of the society of universal risk allows expanding the sociological knowledge about the state of society and the world.
