Abstract
The article considers the worldview based on various language practices. According to the results of research in Russia and Ukraine, two scenarios of integration of their country into the world community were identified. In the first scenario, citizens seek to defend their country's right to choose the path of development independently, despite the current world order. In the second case, they prefer their country to join the group of more successful countries in secondary roles, compensating for this by belonging to the “successful” camp and cultivating superiority over countries that have chosen a different path of development.
