Abstract
The article shows the situation in the Asia-Pacific region (APR) and the place of the Russian Federation in this region. The empirical base of the analysis is the results of international expert surveys within the framework of the international project “Dialog partnership as a factor of stability and integration". Experts are highly qualified specialists and VIPs (decision makers) from 16 countries of the Asia-Pacific region. Experts gave a comprehensive description of the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, taking into account the development of their countries (their combined potential), determined the level of security in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as risks and threats, the possibility of military conflicts in the region, and indicated possible areas of cooperation.
