- Abstract
- The article shows the place of postmodernism in sociological theory as a specific discourse in social science. The postmodern dictionary of concepts and features of theoretical generalization are revealed. The originality of this interpretation is revealed through a comparison of texts associated withmodernism and postmodernism. In the first case, the concept series is used: order, rationality, institution, activity, as well as the specifics of generalization based on the idea of management and determinism. The second is characterized by the concepts of consumption, practices, discourse, identity, and metaphorically ironic the removal of causality in generalizations.
