- Abstract
- Based on the results of a survey of urban residents of the Middle Urals, it is shown that the main sources of information about the great Patriotic war are the family and secondary school. However, the importance of these social institutions in preserving and updating historical memory is gradually weakening. Young people aged 15-17 were the most vulnerable. The decline of traditional mechanisms for preserving the memory of the great Patriotic war occurred gradually, in parallel with the transformation of mechanisms of mass and interpersonal communication. The growth of this trend begins affect our days.
