Abstract
The paper reviews E. A. Bagramov’s monograph “National problematics: in search of new conceptual approaches” (Moscow, 2016). A multi-level analysis of the monograph is emphasized, as well as its significance for current situation in Russia. Successful resolution of author’s intentions is attributed to a synthesis of theoretical concepts with a wealth of data mobilzed by the author, to his years-long career in this sphere of academia and proctice, to innovative approaches to such issues as internationalism, individual identity in contemporary Russia, role of school and education, conflicts in inter-ethnic relations and ways to resolve them.
