- Abstract
This is the first publication of Fedor Sologub’s last screenplay, which is an adaptation of his novel The Snake Charmer. The introductory section deals with Sologub’s creative writing techniques, idea development, and the history of the text. It also reconstructs the way in which the text’s genre mutated in the course of the work, with the plot remaining unaltered. Sologub’s distinctive screenwriting methods, focused on specifics of filmmaking process, are outlined.
