Abstract
Over the past decade, Latin America has seen an increase in regional integration. At the same time, its main initiators are national governments that began to arise in different countries of the South American continent with the end of the period of neoliberal rule in them. The purpose of this article is to provide a brief analysis of this "epoch - making change" and its significance for Latin American States, as well as to try to link the nascent unification process with the emergence of new poles of power in the international arena, such as BRICS and G7 + China.
