- Abstract
- In the article on the written and archaeological sources are analyzed the funeral rites and rituals performed during the funeral of supreme rulers of the largest States of pre-Columbian America. Also are analyzed their differences and similarities, as well as their religious and ideological content. The author comes to the conclusion that the burial practices of the supreme rulers are a reflection of the extent of the power of the state itself.
