- Abstract
- This article is devoted to the study of Latin America civil society attitude to the European social model and the democratic values that lie at its core. The article analyzes the levels of support for democracy in the region, as well as levels of satisfaction of democracy. The article gives a possible explanation of the existing difference between the level of support for democracy and the level of satisfaction with democracy. It is noted that the EU tries to inform broader the Latin American audience about the ESM standards. EU tries also to continue the political dialogue between the two continents, stressing that the civil society plays an important role of raising living standards.
