- Abstract
- The main direction of development of the leading countries of the world is innovation. In the Latin American region, Brazil accounts for more than half of all R & D expenditures. The author proposed a combined indicator characterizing the level of development of the innovation economy of the states of Brazil. A typology of states based on this indicator was developed. The main directions of innovative development of the economies of the states belonging to different types are singled out.
