Abstract

The article analyzes the issues of the US strategy in the Afghan region during the initial period of Donald Trump's presidency. The main shortcomings in US policy toward resolving the Afghan crisis and achieving peace in the country are pointed out in the article as well as the topical problems of the situation in Afghanistan.
