- Abstract
- Annotation: the analysis of international legal instruments shows that the principle of self-determination of peoples is totally valid and nowadays, in the so-called post-colonial period. According to this principle a state should provide a self-determination of peoples within its own frontiers as well as respect a self-determination within the frontiers of other stated. There are no any contradictions between the principle of self-determination, on one part, and the principles of inviolability of frontiers or of territorial integrity, on the other part. International Law does not contain any norms which require a consent from any international organization or any third state for a recognition de facto or de jure of a self-determining state.
