- Abstract
- This article was prepared on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Constitution of Russia in 1993. Dedicated to the main constitutional foundations of the regulation and functioning of the monetary system. Considerable attention is paid to the development of constitutional and legal framework for regulation of monetary relations in the historical and legal context; the problems of legal guarantees of the frameworks’ functioning; the importance of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Russia as the most important element in ensuring the rights in the monetary area (for example, the conceptual position of the Constitutional Court of Russia on the possibility of the existence of “economically weaker party” in the framework of civil law, on the security of banking secrecy/ privacy).
