- Abstract
- Dismissal from a position of the President of the Russian Federation, certainly, is one of measures of constitutional and legal responsibility. Special specifics of this sanction consists in crossing and even interpenetration of mechanisms of criminal and constitutional and legal liability. The existing Constitution of the Russian Federation provides the dismissal mechanism from a position of the President of the Russian Federation. Commission by the president of high treason or other serious crime can be the basis for initiation of procedure of impeachment. However according to universal practice of application of institute of dismissal it is necessary to expand the bases for impeachment: at least, Constitution violation, commission of any criminal offense or, probably, administrative offense, – and also to improve procedure of application of institute of dismissal.
