Abstract
This article examines the conditions in the announcement of the court testimony of witnesses and victims in the resolution of criminal cases by the courts, the analysis undertaken by the European Court of Human Rights relating to the issue and the need to predetermine the appropriate adjustments of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation; provides guidance on accounting for these decisions of the European Court of Human Rights in domestic criminal proceedings.
