- Abstract
The reputation of the state is legally explained in the article. The author substantiates the subjective non-property right to reputation of a public entity. It is proposed to distinguish a public official's right to honour, the right to business reputation of a state (or municipal) body, and the right to reputation of a public entity. Examples are given of remedies for the infringement of the right to reputation such as retraction of defamation, the recovery of damages, and compensation for non-pecuniary loss.
