- Abstract
- on the basis of analysis of different approaches to classifi cation of individuals in non-international armed confl icts and interpretation of the notion "direct participation in hostilities" under International Humanitarian Law the author proves relevancy of a balanced approach, which represents a compromise between requirements of protection of the civil population and military necessity.
