- Abstract
- In this article, the author examines some of the features of the federal structure of Russia. On the basis of the study, as well as taking into account the evolution of the state-territorial structure Russian attempts to find solutions to the problems of modern Russian federalism and the legal status of subjects of the Russian Federation. Analysis of existing points of view on the legal nature and essence of the state system of the Russian Federation allows you to come to mixed conclusions on the improvement of the modern federal model territorial system to return to a unitary state with autonomous entities. Features of Russia's state structure and the level of development offederal relations suggest the need for further reform as a territorial system, and relations between the center and the regions. The conclusion about the need for comprehensive legal reform aimed at improving the constitutional and legal status of the Russian Federation, to create conditions for the normal functioning and modernization of the state-territorial structure of Russia.
