- Abstract
- Proverbs and sayings as one of the genres offolklore are a particular form of collective human wisdom. They cumulated the results of the knowledge of our ancestors house go the world, society, government and law, the principles and rules of customary law. The article discusses specific features of legal proverbs and sayings of different peoples of the world, given their definition, the disclosed subject matter, the types and social function of legal proverbs. According to the author, comprehensive and indepth study of legal in proverbs and sayings in the future create a new interdisciplinary direction in domestic science - legal paremiology.
