The article considers the problems of normative legal regulation of the security of inland water transport. In the legal regulation of this issue there are gaps in the legislation, so the study of the processes in the sphere of water transport necessitates the proper study of social relations in the process of administrative and legal ensuring ofpublic safety on water transport
