- Abstract
A short memoir about Turgenev (published in the Russian translation for the first time), written by the British writer and journalist Frank Harris (1855—1931) and included into his Contemporary Portraits collection of essays, offers some interesting «sidelights» on Turgenev in his late years, as well as emphasizes the fact of the ambitious author’s personal acquaintance with the world-famous writer.
