- Abstract
The article contains a brief description of the history of formation and development, the current state of civil law in Taiwan in the context of modernization of society and economy on the island. The topic of property-legal relations is specially considered. The general principles of property law of the country are analyzed. The analysis of the structure and evolution of real law institutions reveals some features of Taiwan's modernization process in the past and present.
