Abstract

In article the perspective connected with efficiency of use of methodology of holistic and reductive approaches in the annex to a research of social phenomenon is considered. Authors analyze methodological means of the specified directions of a research in their structural tension, noting a number of actually methodological and meta-methodological difficulties connected with definition of a theoretical object and caused by specifics of social knowledge per se. On the basis of the analysis of some controversy and challenges in which are involved and which supporters of a holism and reductionism face the conclusion about efficiency a number of advantages of holistic methodology in social researches is drawn. However, authors emphasize unproductiveness of direct opposition of the considered informative models and relevant need of methodological "dialogue" between supporters of both approaches. As the option of implementation of the similar epistemological project is given an example of the cross-disciplinary interactions which are found on joints of some fields of scientific research. Behind such cross-disciplinary interactions authors see the future of the social analysis as these methodological schemes allow to systematize fruitful the experience accumulated at application of holistic approach in science. The central example of cross-disciplinary systematization of knowledge is called the system theory.
